Job Role Staff Nurse – Immunisations team Band 5: £32,073 – £39,043 Hours: 37.5 hours – Flexible working and Job share considered Permanent Role Base: Kirklees wide Responsibilities About the Role This is an exciting opportunity to join Locala’s Children’s Immunisation Team, the lead provider for the West Yorkshire Vacs & Imms Collaboration (WYVIC). We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Band 5 Children’s Immunisation Nurse to support the delivery of high-quality childhood immunisation services across Kirklees. This role is ideal for a confident and motivated practitioner who is passionate about improving immunisation uptake and contributing to service development, while consistently maintaining excellent clinical standards.

The Successful Candidate Will: Work closely with the immunisation team to increase local uptake by providing and supporting services to the eligible population Deliver safe, effective childhood immunisations in line with the National Childhood Immunisation Schedule (0–18 years) within clinic and school settings Work collaboratively with the wider WYVIC Team Promote immunisation uptake and provide evidence-based advice to children, young people, and families Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation in line with policy and governance requirements Contribute positively to service development and continuous improvement Be able to travel to a range of vaccination sites across Kirklees, essential for this role We Are Looking for a Nurse Who Is: Dynamic and proactive Confident and change-focused Willing to challenge the norm An independent and reflective practitioner Flexible and solution-focused Qualifications Experience & Background Registered Nurse Ideally IMMS-trained, with experience in childhood immunisations Knowledge of the National Childhood Immunisation Schedule Commitment to supporting WYVIC service delivery Personal Attributes Strong team player Hard‑working, flexible, and committed Enthusiastic and passionate about immunisation services Able to work independently while contributing effectively to team goals Why Join Locala / WYVIC Be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking immunisation team Opportunity to influence regional immunisation delivery Supportive and friendly team environment Make a meaningful difference to children’s health outcome Other Information To discuss the role further please contact [email protected] for any enquiries.
