About the role We are actively recruiting Staff Nurses to the Emergency Department at LUHFT. We believe in excellent patient care and would like to recruit dynamic individuals who believe in our trust values and will ensure that every patient receives gold standard care. The work-load throughout the department is very varied and interesting with no two days being the same.

As a Band 5 Nurse you will be offered a comprehensive development package including a period of supernumerary, training and education and a Preceptorship programme. The successful candidate must be dynamic, possess excellent communication skills, and have a high sense of professionalism and a strong belief in the value of teamwork. We are family friendly and flexible and offer a wide range of long days and short shifts.

Key qualifications & experience Registered Nurse, current NMC registration BSc in Nursing (Diploma in Nursing as a minimum) Practice Assessor/Practice Supervisor Training Post registration qualification in relevant specialty Recent clinical nursing experience as a student or as a registered nurse Experience within relevant clinical setting Evidence of maintaining a clinical learning environment Evidence of working with learners, sound clinical nursing knowledge and a good understanding of nursing issues and clinical governance Demonstrates awareness of own limitations Ability to organise workload and delegate tasks appropriately Ability to work as part of a team Ability to support less experienced staff Ability to problem solve Good written and verbal communication skills Basic IT skills, including e‑mail and word processing Ability to work in changing environments Committed to high standards of patient care. Exemplary personal standards of conduct and behaviour Maintain both personal and professional development Willingness to be flexible and adaptable Appropriate UK professional registration Additional information Note: Under current Home Office Immigration Rules we are currently unable to offer right‑to‑work visa sponsorship for Band 2 and 3 roles with a salary of less than £25,000 pa as they do not meet the UK Visas & Immigration criteria.
