Specification Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Specification professional with a strong electrical/electronics background to drive product specification and business development within the B2B Enterprise segment. The role will involve engaging with architects, electrical consultants, contractors and other key influencers to ensure the company's electrical products are specified across projects and to generate qualified business leads.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with architects, electrical consultants, electrical contractors, builders and project influencers.
• Drive product specification of the company's electrical products across commercial, residential, institutional and other enterprise projects.
• Understand project requirements and recommend suitable product solutions based on technical and commercial requirements.
• Conduct regular meetings with architects, consultants and contractors to influence product selection and specifications.
• Identify new projects and opportunities through market mapping, consultant engagement and relationship building.
• Generate qualified project leads and hand over opportunities to the relevant sales/project teams for conversion.
• Track project specifications from initial design stage through execution and ensure product inclusion.
• Conduct product presentations, technical discussions and product demonstrations for consultants and project stakeholders.
• Monitor competitor products, specifications and market trends to identify opportunities.
• Maintain a strong project pipeline and regularly update project/specification reports and MIS.
• Coordinate with internal sales and technical teams to ensure smooth execution of specified projects.

Candidate Profile

• Qualification: B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical or any Graduate with relevant electrical industry experience.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
• Strong experience in Product specification/ consultant engagement / project sales within the electrical industry.
• Strong understanding of electrical products and applications.
• Proven experience working with architects, electrical consultants, contractors and project stakeholders.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship-management skills.
