Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in the Greater Kolkata Area. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial activities, including maintaining general ledgers, recording transactions, and reconciling bank statements. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing financial reports, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and supporting audits and compliance requirements.

The role also involves monitoring accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and payments, and maintaining accurate documentation for internal and external stakeholders. The Accountant will collaborate with the consulting and HR teams to provide financial insights that support business decisions and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in financial accounting, bookkeeping, and general ledger management.

• Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
\n
• Experience with accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills (e.g., formulas, pivot tables).

• Knowledge of tax regulations, statutory compliance, and audit processes.
\n
• Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and strong analytical abilities.

• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, CPA) are an advantage.

• Prior experience in a consulting, professional services, or HR-focused environment is beneficial.
