JOB PURPOSE Reporting to the Director of Strategy & Delivery - CanDeal Solutions, the Solutions Analyst is a key member of our CanDeal Solutions group, supporting the development and growth of mutualized utilities servicing the financial industry, supporting the corporate new issue bond process, and responsible for testing Solutions products to ensure quality deliverables to the industry. This includes creating and reviewing business documentations, managing the Know Your Client (KYC) Operations team, contributing to solutions design and build, managing configuration of KYC & TPR systems, supporting the cooperate new issues bond process, developing and executing test plans, managing defect tracking, coordinating bug fixes with developers, and facilitating User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

The Solutions Analyst supports Solutions initiatives to drive business growth and success and ensures the delivery of high-quality, reliable software that meets business requirements. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Manage and provide reporting on the KYC Operations Team, while acting as the main point of contact with the Business. Provide training to new team members on the KYC Utility workflow and tooling.

Perform required KYC Operations activities, including KYC Research, Quality Control (QC reviews), and KYC file preparation and delivery. Manage the Fenergo application and maintain configurations to meet business needs, which includes updating configuration settings, journeys, dashboards, and reporting. Gather business requirements for Solutions initiatives and create requirements documents and workflows targeted for both internal and external stakeholders.

Continuously research AI and other technology integration opportunities to improve the efficiency of current business processes. Conduct testing on new features in CanIssue and CanAuction. Mutualize requirements from different Financial Institutions into a single Utility requirement, satisfying the needs of each institution.

Support the development of new mutualized utilities Develop test plans, cases, scenarios, and automated scripts focused on functional and system integration testing to ensure application quality, including regression and synchronous test plans. Execute test scripts using standard tools and methodologies, ensuring results align with documented quality targets. Perform manual testing of User Interfaces based on defined test scenarios on FileMaker applications as well as other applications.

Support system integration and UAT by preparing and executing test activities, ensuring alignment with functional and business requirements. Develop automated test scripts to programmatically execute UI testing on FileMaker applications Define testing criteria and analyze results to assess the functional suitability and performance of the system, documenting findings and reporting outcomes to relevant stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional team members to support organization goals, actively participating in team initiatives and expanding technical capabilities through continuous learning and sharing of skills and knowledge.

Perform other duties as needed. QUALIFICATIONS Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field is required. 4+ years of hands-on experience in business development, KYC, TPR, Fixed Income Issuance Process, and software testing in an agile environment, preferably within financial services or compliance industries. Technical Knowledge & Skills Strong understanding of Fenergo application, including configuration expertise, reports creation, dashboard management, and system administration.

Proven problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively and “outside the box” to resolve complex issues. Ability to understand complex concepts and document them in a clear manner for others to consume. Understanding of Global AML/KYC requirements.

Proficient in performing key KYC Refresh activities like KYC Research, QC reviews, and KYC file delivery. Strong leadership experience managing a KYC operations team and refresh process, preferably within a Canadian Bank. Knowledge and hand on experience with KYC systems and process.

Understanding of Canadian Third-Party Risk requirements. Experience with the Third-Party Risk assessment process, preferably within a Canadian Bank. Knowledge and hand on experience with Third-Party Risk systems.

Experience with mutualization of processes, data elements, and requirements from different parties. Experience working in mutualization consulting engagements, and with mutualization software services. Strong understanding of the Canadian corporate bond new issues process as well as government bond auction process.

Experience managing third parties on behalf of the organization. Experience interactive with clients and managing client relationships. Strong understanding of data formats and protocols including JSON, XML, and REST APIs.

Experience with test automation tools such as Postman, Insomnia (for API testing), and Selenium or Cypress (for UI testing). Working experience with scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, or Bash scripting for general test automation tasks. Familiarity with SQL and no SQL databases as well as writing the respective queries to pull any required data points.

Strong understanding of prompt engineering techniques and utilization of AI in the workplace to maximize efficiency. Experience working with FileMaker Database and WebDirect for data handling and presentation. Familiarity with testing frameworks and standard quality models.

Experience working with Allure reporting or equivalent reporting tools for automation test runs. Experience working in agile and waterfall-based technology projects. Tools & Collaboration Proficient in managing and configurating Fenergo applications and understanding of the entire Fenergo environment.

Strong understanding of how the FileMaker application works, including the file structures and databases. Strong understanding of CanIssue and Can Auction applications. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, SharePoint, and Power Automate.

Familiarity with Azure VMs and Azure DevOps for running test scripts and code repository. Strong experience using information repositories such as Orbis and Bankers Almanac. Proficient in using JIRA for issue tracking and preferably Confluence for documentation and collaboration.

Strong understanding in using AI tools including Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT to maximize productivity of tasks. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear, business-friendly manner to various audiences. Strong organizational skills, effective at managing multiple deliverables in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
