Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform SMD and through-hole component soldering and rework.
  • Assemble, wire, and test electronic hardware and PCBs.
  • Conduct functional testing and basic debugging of electronic boards.
  • Identify and replace faulty components on PCBs.
  • Read and understand circuit schematics, PCB layouts, and assembly drawings.
  • Use test and measurement equipment such as Digital Multimeters (DMM) and Digital Storage Oscilloscopes (DSO).
  • Verify wiring harnesses, connectors, and cable assemblies.
  • Assist hardware engineers during prototype development and validation.
  • Maintain test records and report hardware issues.
  • Ensure compliance with ESD and quality procedures.

Required Skills

  • Hands-on experience in SMD soldering and rework.
  • Good knowledge of electronic components and their identification.
  • Basic understanding of electrical and electronic circuits.
  • Proficiency in using Digital Multimeter (DMM) and Digital Storage Oscilloscope (DSO).
  • Experience in hardware testing and debugging.
  • Knowledge of wiring, connectors, and cable assemblies.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
  • Familiarity with PCB footprints, component packages (0402, 0603, QFN, QFP, BGA, etc.), and PCB assembly.
  • Basic troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with prototype board assembly.
  • Familiarity with ESD-safe handling practices.
  • Basic knowledge of embedded hardware or microcontroller-based systems.
  • Experience working with automotive or industrial electronics is an added advantage.

Qualification: Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or a related discipline.

Experience: 1 2 years of relevant experience in hardware assembly, testing, or electronics manufacturing.
