Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Perform SMD and through-hole component soldering and rework.
- Assemble, wire, and test electronic hardware and PCBs.
- Conduct functional testing and basic debugging of electronic boards.
- Identify and replace faulty components on PCBs.
- Read and understand circuit schematics, PCB layouts, and assembly drawings.
- Use test and measurement equipment such as Digital Multimeters (DMM) and Digital Storage Oscilloscopes (DSO).
- Verify wiring harnesses, connectors, and cable assemblies.
- Assist hardware engineers during prototype development and validation.
- Maintain test records and report hardware issues.
- Ensure compliance with ESD and quality procedures.
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience in SMD soldering and rework.
- Good knowledge of electronic components and their identification.
- Basic understanding of electrical and electronic circuits.
- Proficiency in using Digital Multimeter (DMM) and Digital Storage Oscilloscope (DSO).
- Experience in hardware testing and debugging.
- Knowledge of wiring, connectors, and cable assemblies.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
- Familiarity with PCB footprints, component packages (0402, 0603, QFN, QFP, BGA, etc.), and PCB assembly.
- Basic troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with prototype board assembly.
- Familiarity with ESD-safe handling practices.
- Basic knowledge of embedded hardware or microcontroller-based systems.
- Experience working with automotive or industrial electronics is an added advantage.
Qualification: Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or a related discipline.
Experience: 1 2 years of relevant experience in hardware assembly, testing, or electronics manufacturing.
