The Boeing Company is looking for a Software Engineer – Developer (Associate or Experienced) to join the Vertical Lift Division in Ridley Park, PA. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Software Engineering organization. In this role, the engineer will develop high‑quality software solutions that drive innovative projects forward, collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, and contribute to the delivery of robust and scalable products.
The engineer will also play a key role in the testing process, ensuring that deliverables adhere to the highest standards of quality and performance. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. Position Responsibilities Collaborate with teams to understand software requirements and design objectives Propose, design, and implement software solutions Develop, document, and maintain software architectures, requirements, designs, code, and automated tests Participate in code reviews and design discussions, contributing to continuous improvement Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience) 2 or more years of professional experience with C, C++, C#, Python, Java, or Ada 1 or more years of experience with Agile software development lifecycle Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience) Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science Ability to obtain U.S.
Secret Security Clearance – Final Post‑Start Level 3: 3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines Ability to research and solve fundamental problems Experience leading complex software projects Skills in developing, documenting, and maintaining software architectures, code, designs, and automated tests Ability to break down functional requirements into well‑defined tasks Willingness to learn new skills through on‑the‑job training and experience CodeVue Coding Challenge To be considered for this position you will be required to complete a technical assessment as part of the selection process. Pay ranges: Associate Level: $102,850 - $139,150 Experienced Level: $127,500 - $172,500 Export Control Requirements This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. A “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.62 is required.
