Software Development Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Software Development Project Manager to guide their product development teams in delivering high-quality software solutions from their base in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. This role involves managing the entire software development lifecycle, from ideation and planning through to deployment and maintenance. You will foster collaboration between development, QA, and product teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.

This is a key position for driving innovation and efficiency in software delivery for the organization in Queenstown.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage software development projects using Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and dependencies.
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, and QA testers to ensure successful product delivery in Eastern Cape.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in a software development environment.
• Strong understanding of Agile principles and practices.
• Experience with project management tools like Jira, Confluence, or similar.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
