Software Development Manager

Job Description Job Description Are you a technical leader who thrives on building high-performing teams and scaling complex cloud architectures? We are looking for a Software Development Manager to lead the evolution of our client's cutting-edge logistics management platform. Reporting to the Director of Software Development, you will oversee a talented team of 16+ (Leads, Devs, and QA) to deliver secure, scalable, and impactful software in a fast-paced CI/CD environment.

This is a predominantly REMOTE role (from time to time, you'll need to come into the office to meet with your team). Location: Downtown Montreal What You’ll Do Lead & Mentor: Manage and coach 4 Leads and 12+ Developers/QA Analysts, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous growth. Drive Delivery: Own the full SDLC, balancing high-quality code with pragmatic delivery timelines.

Strategic Influence: Participate in technical leadership to shape the company’s long-term business and technology roadmap. Optimize Processes: Refine Agile/Scrum practices, including sprint planning, grooming, and automated testing. Problem Solve: Identify risks early, challenge technical estimates, and ensure the team is empowered to innovate.

What You Bring Experience: 10+ years in software engineering with at least 3+ years in a technical management role . Leadership: Proven track record of managing cross-functional teams and maintaining high standards for scalable code. Tech Savvy: Deep understanding of SDLC best practices, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies.

Communication: Fully bilingual (French/English) with the ability to represent the dev team to stakeholders. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (Master’s preferred). Preferred Assets Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps .
