SAS Developer

SAS Developer Client: Canada's Largest Agricultural Term Lender Duration: 6 month contract (Possible extension) Location: Remote, Canada, hours flexible Hours per week: 37.5 On behalf of our client, Affinity is looking for SAS Developer to support a large enterprise data migration initiative. This project involves converting existing SAS workloads to run against AWS Redshift, ensuring all existing logic and outputs remain consistent. Responsibilities: • Convert SAS jobs to source data from AWS Redshift • Update: o LIBNAME statements o SQL queries and data access logic o Data Integration Studio jobs • Ensure existing business logic and outputs remain unchanged • Perform unit testing and support user acceptance testing • Investigate and resolve data discrepancies • Collaborate with business stakeholders to achieve sign-off Qualifications: • 4–7 years SAS experience • Strong SQL and data processing skills • Comfortable handling end-to-end development and testing • Strong experience with SAS (Base SAS, PROC SQL) • Solid SQL skills and experience working with relational databases • Experience with data migration, ETL, or legacy system modernization • Strong debugging and data validation skills • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Nice to Have Experience: o SAS Data Integration Studio o DS2 o SAS Business Rules Manager • Experience working with AWS Redshift or similar platforms (Teradata, Oracle, Snowflake) • Familiarity with AWS environments Affinity Earn: Know someone who’s great for this, or any of our open roles?
