Location: Australia (multiple states)

Salary: $69,000 – $80,000 + Super + Overtime + Vehicle + Laptop + Phone + Tools

About the Role

As a Service Technician, you’ll work both in the field and workshop to install, repair, and maintain weighing and food processing equipment. This role offers strong variety, daily problem-solving, and direct customer interaction.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Servicing, repairing, and maintaining weighing and food processing equipment
  2. Installing and commissioning weighing systems, POS systems, labellers, and associated technology
  3. Setting up and configuring new equipment
  4. Providing technical support across POS, barcode printers, scanners, and weighing systems
  5. Performing calibrations, fault finding, and general maintenance
  6. Delivering professional customer service on site and remotely
  7. Meeting SLA and quality documentation requirements
  8. Participating in an after-hours breakdown roster
  9. Following all WHS, Quality and Environmental procedures
  10. Maintaining company vehicle, tools, and equipment

What We’re Looking For

Required:

  1. Minimum 2 years’ mechanical/electronic service experience (scale trade highly regarded)
  2. Full Driver’s Licence
  3. Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical, electrical and electronic systems
  4. Solid computer skills and confidence with modern digital equipment
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication
  6. Ability to work independently and within a team
  7. Professional presentation and customer-focused attitude
  8. Willingness to learn and expand product knowledge
  9. Ability to pass a drug & alcohol screening
  10. Willingness to participate in an after-hours roster

Preferred Requirements (State-Specific & Industry-Specific):

  1. NMI Statement of Attainment to verify weighing instruments in Classes 6.1 – 6.4 (preferred)
  2. For Queensland applicants only: Queensland Restricted Electrical Licence (preferred but not essential)
