An established construction services company is seeking an experienced Service Operations Manager to oversee and help grow its service and small projects operations within a fast-paced field environment. This leadership role is responsible for managing service operations from initial client request through project completion, including scheduling, dispatching, technician oversight, project coordination, operational planning, client relationship management, and business development. The successful candidate will be highly organized, solutions-focused, and experienced in leading field service teams within construction or a related industry.
A key component of this role is the development of long-term customer relationships and the continued growth of true service-based work including preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, service call response, building alterations, and small projects. Job Details Location: Greater Vancouver Area Job Type: Permanent | Full-time | Onsite Salary: $95,000β$120,000 annually What You'll Do Oversee daily service operations, scheduling, dispatching, and project coordination. Lead field teams and support operational performance, safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
Coordinate site visits, project requirements, materials, equipment, and timelines. Support estimating, quoting, work planning, and project execution. Manage emergency service requests, preventive maintenance programs, repair work, and ongoing service requirements.
Monitor project progress, documentation, labour allocation, and operational efficiency. Build and maintain strong relationships with property managers, building owners, consultants, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams. Actively develop new customer relationships throughout Vancouver and the surrounding region.
Support business development efforts through networking, relationship building, client engagement, and cold calling. Assist in growing recurring service-based business opportunities rather than strictly project-driven work. Support department growth through strong service delivery, sales confidence, and operational leadership.
Assist with process improvements, workflow management, and overall team performance. What You Bring 5β10+ years of experience in service management, construction operations, or field service leadership. Previous experience managing technicians, field staff, or service crews.
Roofing or building envelope experience considered an asset. Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Strong relationship-building and customer development skills.
Comfortable interacting with property managers, consultants, and building owners. Previous experience working with local property managers and building owners considered a strong asset. Sales confidence and the ability to help develop new service opportunities and customer relationships.
Experience coordinating multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of construction operations, scheduling, dispatching, and project coordination. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
Valid driverβs license and ability to travel to sites as required. Why This Role?
