The Role\n

We are currently seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Rail & Metro team in Melbourne. Working with a specialist team of Engineers, Drafters and Project Managers, you will be responsible for technical design input, co-ordination and project delivery activities across rail infrastructure projects locally and nationally.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Coordinating the structural design and documentation for various rail projects locally and nationally.
\n
• Undertaking structural design components using relative software, including MIDAS, Space Gass, Autodesk and Microstran, to name a few.
\n
• Reviewing structural designs, ensuring that analysis and design tasks undertaken meet appropriate technical standards and the requirements of the client and SMEC.
\n
• Production of engineering reports and supporting tender proposals.
\n
• Proactively collaborating with team members, contributors and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness and coordination of project deliverables.
\n
• Actively contribute to the technical success of projects and the team.
\n

About You\n

\n
• Relevant Engineering qualifications – with a focus in Structural Engineering.
\n
• 6 years' design experience in rail infrastructure projects.
\n
• Demonstrated design experience using relevant Structural software.
\n
• Possesses project management and hands-on experience, encompassing administrative, commercial and technical aspects.
\n
• Strong understanding of Australian codes and standards.
\n
• Submit technical reports of a standard requiring minimal correction; and provide final review of reports.
\n
• Able to work on own initiative and in a team environment.
\n
