Senior Staff Nurse - Respiratory

Sincere opportunity for a Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse in Respiratory Medicine at the University Hospital of Wales. Closing date: 23 April 2026 Job description The Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse B7 Respiratory will work on acute respiratory ward B7, which includes a dedicated 4-bed high care area for patients requiring acute non-invasive ventilation. Key responsibilities: Deliver specialist respiratory care for patients requiring acute non-invasive ventilation. Co‑ordinate ward activities and support junior staff. Manage the Acute Non‑invasive Ventilation bay and provide team support. Participate in a respiratory training programme covering tracheostomies, laryngectomies, chest drains and respiratory condition education. Drive change management, develop and implement protocols, and provide evidence‑based best practice care to a diverse patient group. Desired language skills: Welsh is desirable; English and Welsh speakers are equally welcome. Qualifications Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse level, with demonstrated experience in respiratory care.
