Senior Software Developer

Senior Software Developer (Contract) Rate: £450- 470pd inside IR35 Contract Length: Initial 3 months (starting ASAP) Location: Remote (UK-based) Essential Experience: Applicants must have experience of working for a government organisation in the UK Clearance: Candidates must hold active SC clearance or be eligible to obtain it. To be eligible, you must have lived in the UK continuously for the past 5 years and have the right to work in the UK. The Opportunity A leading organisation is looking for a Senior Software Developer to support the delivery of modern, scalable digital services. You’ll be joining a collaborative development team working in an agile environment on impactful public-facing systems. This is a fully remote role, with occasional in-person meetups that may be arranged on an ad hoc (and likely optional) basis.

What You’ll Be Doing Developing and maintaining full-stack applications using modern technologies Building reusable components and modular backend services Writing clean, well-tested code using Test-Driven Development (TDD) Collaborating with designers, product managers, and other developers Contributing to best practices and continuous improvement within the team What We’re Looking For Strong experience as a Full Stack Developer Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js Experience creating reusable modules or shared system components Familiarity with frameworks such as Nunjucks or Express Previous experience working on government or public sector digital services Strong understanding of TDD and modern development practices Additional Requirements Must hold active SC clearance or be eligible to obtain it Candidates need Available to interview at short notice
