Position Summary
Senior Manager, Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting
Reports to the SVP, Group Controller, overseeing financial reporting, technical accounting, and M&A activities with a focus on US GAAP and IFRS compliance.
Responsibilities
- Manage US GAAP reporting and other external reporting requirements.
- Support IFRS and statutory reporting as needed.
- Proactively identify, research, communicate and resolve complex accounting matters.
- Lead policy initiatives, including implementation of new accounting standards.
- Continuously monitor, document and communicate new accounting standards to the organization and assess their impact.
- Lead or support cross‑functional strategic initiatives ensuring accounting impacts are addressed.
- Lead financial M&A due diligence, partner with Corporate Accounting to integrate transactions, and communicate accounting matters to cross‑functional leads.
- Drive management of valuation exercises, partnering with third‑party valuation firms.
- Support complex areas including equity investments, stock‑based compensation, and hedge accounting.
- Develop a culture of mentorship, continuous improvement, finance transformation, automation, and training.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA required.
- 5+ years of experience in public accounting or private industry with increasing responsibility.
- Strong leadership skills with a record of meaningful initiatives.
- Extensive knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
- Knowledge of IFRS a plus.
- Expertise in technical accounting issues and complex transaction accounting.
- Experience with M&A due diligence, valuations, and purchase accounting.
- Experience in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.
- Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to work independently and in a team.
- Effective project management skills, managing long‑term projects and multiple simultaneaously.
Benefits & Compensation
Base salary range: $154,000–$180,000 USD (New York). Total compensation includes base salary, bonus/commission, equity, and benefits such as health, dental, life, 401(k), and paid time off.
