Senior Maintenance Technician - Food

Our client are a leading food manufacturer who are hiring a Senior Maintenance Technician to join their site in Naas. This job will be well suited for someone with strong maintenance experience in manufacturing environments and is able to act as the go-to person to offer guidance to other technicians on site. A strong combination of electrical and mechanical knowledge will be necessary.

Please note that this position involves one evening shift and one Saturday every four weeks and being on-call one week of every four.

About the Position

• As Senior Maintenance Technician, your job will be to respond to breakdowns and provide support to technicians as necessary in a food manufacturing environment.
• Monitoring machine reliability.
• Working with relevant teams to identify and execute line improvements.
• Conducting planned preventative maintenance and assisting in the planning/execution of shutdown works and machine overhauls.
• Provide guidance and training to technicians and operatives on site.
• Any other duties as required.

Experience/Requirements

• For this Senior Maintenance Technician job, you will have several years’ experience maintaining equipment in a similar manufacturing environment and a full trade qualification.
• You will also have a strong combination of electrical and mechanical knowledge, and experience mentoring/providing guidance to more junior technicians.
