JOB SUMMARY Lantic is currently recruiting for the position of Information Technology Business Analyst based at our Vancouver facility. The position reports to the Manager, Enterprise Applications. The ITBA is a professional who is experienced with one or more major enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, proficient with business/manufacturing applications and technologies, and curious about and able to establish technology solutions for the benefit of business partners and the organization.
The successful candidate is service‑oriented and will effectively leverage professional relationships, experience, and knowledge to provide business value. As a technology expert, they will troubleshoot and explore modern technology solutions to resolve business issues and meet business objectives. As an analyst, they will assess and recommend efficient technology solutions.
As a business partner, they will work closely with non‑technical professionals, understand business processes, and implement (applications, data, process) solutions, individually or as part of a project team. The ITBA will conduct and manage work in a professional, organized manner, utilizing project management and other common technology frameworks/methodologies (ITIL, ITSM, Agile). PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Establish and maintain effective professional relationships with operational and professional staff at all levels of the organization.
Understand and learn business and operational processes and technology—workflow, dataflow, and application functionality—to make effective recommendations. Conduct cost‑benefit analysis and provide recommendations regarding technology solutions for the business. Work closely with business counterparts and leaders to understand business/operational challenges and needs.
Work closely with application specialists and developers to identify and assess solutions options. Coordinate and communicate between IT and other departments. Plan and oversee/lead small‑to‑medium‑scale projects to completion—working closely with business partners, IT specialists, and vendors.
Identify risks and management options to complete work effectively and efficiently. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Required (demonstrated) Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar—e.g., graduation from a minimum two‑year program with a specialization in computer science, information technology, or information management from a recognized post‑secondary institution.
Effective engagement and oral and written communication in English. French language is an asset. Values and maintains professional relationships with business partners and technology counterparts.
Self‑starter, keen to learn and develop skillset. Application of structured work management methodology. Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Organized, self‑managed, and effectively manages deadlines and commitments. Orientation toward innovation and modern technology solutions providing business value. Optional (an asset) Experience with application implementations or business transformation.
Project management experience and certification. Use of decision‑making/business intelligence tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau). Experience with data warehouses, data cubes, and data analysis.
Process documentation with a focus on internal controls. WORKING CONDITIONS (OFFICE/PLANT, TRAVELING, ON CALL, ETC.) Remote (2 days per week) / Office (3 days per week). Some infrequent travel within Canada.
