Senior Facade Consultant / Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Façade Consultant / Project Manager with a strong technical background in façade engineering, design coordination, and project delivery to join our building envelope team. The role involves leading façade design development from concept through construction, managing multidisciplinary coordination, guiding junior team members, and acting as the primary technical interface with clients, architects, and specialist consultants across a diverse portfolio of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead façade design development and coordination across multiple projects, ensuring architectural intent is translated into technically robust, buildable, and cost-effective façade solutions.
• Manage project delivery from concept design through tender and construction stages, ensuring adherence to project programmes, quality standards, and client expectations.
• Develop and review façade system details, performance specifications, technical drawings, calculations, and design documentation.
• Coordinate closely with architects, structural engineers, MEP consultants, contractors, façade fabricators, and specialist suppliers to resolve technical interfaces and design challenges.
• Review façade shop drawings, material submissions, mock-ups, and technical proposals to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Conduct technical evaluations of façade systems, materials, and emerging technologies, providing recommendations based on performance, durability, sustainability, and cost.
• Prepare technical reports, design presentations, specifications, and client submissions.
• Lead design coordination meetings, workshops, and technical discussions with clients and project stakeholders.
• Mentor and guide junior architects, façade designers, and engineers, promoting technical excellence and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Monitor project risks, deliverables, budgets, and timelines while ensuring high standards of quality and project execution

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 6-10 years of relevant experience in façade consultancy, façade engineering, building envelope design, or façade contracting.
• Strong knowledge of façade systems including curtain walls, windows, cladding systems, rainscreens, skylights, architectural metalwork, and specialty façade elements.
• Sound understanding of façade performance requirements including structural behaviour, wind loading, waterproofing, thermal performance, acoustics, fire safety, and material durability.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, and Microsoft Office. Experience with BIM workflows and parametric modelling tools will be an advantage.
• Excellent technical detailing, specification writing, report preparation, and presentation skills.
• Strong project management, coordination, and client-facing communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while working effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong leadership, organisational, and decision-making skills.
