The salary is determined by location, market conditions, and experience. Job Overview Working under minimal supervision, the Senior Executive Claims Analyst partners with IS teams and key stakeholders to continuously deliver claims solutions and processes that enable exceptional claims handling for our members.
Job Responsibilities Organize the planning and coordination of work assignments Lead and participate in the preparation of business requirements in alignment with guiding principles and strategic themes Collaborate with IS partners, prioritizing defects and enhancements in the initiative backlog Proactively identify risks and issues in processes and integrations to streamline and improve them Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure claims business needs are met and consistent practices are implemented Liaise with regional stakeholders to analyze current business processes, clarify requirements, and identify opportunities for improvement by eliminating waste and leveraging opportunities Act as a change champion by providing change‑management support through training and communications Maintain the initiative repository to enhance communication, allow for tracking, and ensure transparency Create and communicate regular status reports to all stakeholders Identify benefits and continuously monitor and measure outcomes Recommend adjustments through critical thinking and escalation of risks/issues Support the Business Leads on initiatives Perform other duties as required Qualifications 5+ years’ experience in the property/casualty industry or a related field Solid analytical and problem‑solving skills and the ability to foster relationships, identify problems, and resolve issues Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and reprioritise appropriately Strong leadership skills with an ability to identify and action strategic opportunities for the team and organisation Strong communication, facilitation, persuasion, influence, decision‑making, and conflict‑resolution skills across all levels of audience Ability to support high team morale by encouraging enthusiasm for initiative activities and outcomes Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to conduct detailed analysis and select and implement best solutions Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite Experience with integrations such as Mitchell, ERAC, Xactware, Progi, HCAI (asset) Actively pursuing or completed a post‑secondary degree/certificate or equivalent industry experience Completed CIP or equivalent Business Analysis designation Bilingualism is an asset Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging At Wawanesa, we are committed to DEIB and welcome applications from all qualified candidates, including racialised persons, women, Indigenous Peoples, persons with disabilities, members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, gender‑diverse and neuro‑diverse individuals, and anyone who can contribute to further diversification of thought and ideas.
