Our mission is to help financial institutions meet their regulatory obligations with confidence, clarity, and speed. We ingest, process, and enrich vast volumes of complex, high-variance data from hundreds of brokers, data providers and other sources of information across the US and beyond.
The scale, diversity, and importance of this data creates unique technical challenges and opportunities for innovative engineers. The COMPLY Data Platform is a strategic initiative at the heart of this mission. This is a people-first leadership role with strong expectations around performance management, individual development, and team health. While you will not be expected to act as a technical expert or primary decision-maker on architecture, you will bring sufficient technical awareness to understand the systems your teams operate, identify operational risks and opportunities, and ask the right questions at the right time. You will work closely with an Architect and Technical Team Leads, who will provide deep technical direction.
Your role is to create the conditions for success: clear goals, strong collaboration, effective processes, and a culture that encourages ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement. Delivery Environment & Team Effectiveness: Create and maintain an environment where teams can deliver reliably and predictably. Work with managers and team leads to ensure priorities are clear, realistic, and well-communicated. Remove organisational and operational blockers that slow delivery or reduce quality.
Encourage collaboration across analysts, engineers, product, and operational teams. Technical Awareness & Risk Management: Maintain a high-level understanding of the data and analytics systems operated by the team. Identify and surface operational risks, dependencies, and scaling challenges.
Partner with the Architect and Technical Leads to ensure risks are understood and addressed. Balance short-term delivery pressures with long-term sustainability and quality. Create space for engineers and analysts to propose and explore improvements to tools, processes, and ways of working. Reinforce a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement. Lead by example in communication, empathy, and professional integrity.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a senior point of contact for Data & Analytics across the organisation. Partner closely with Product, Partnerships, Customer teams, and other Engineering leaders. Ensure expectations are aligned and trade-offs are made explicitly.
Essential Criteria: Experience managing and developing multidisciplinary technical teams (e.g. engineers, analysts, or similar roles). Strong people management skills, including performance management and individual development. Sufficient technical awareness to understand system-level concepts, delivery risks, and operational trade-offs.
Experience working in a modern software, data, or SaaS environment. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to motivate teams and create a positive, high-performance culture.
Comfortable operating with ambiguity and balancing competing priorities. Desirable Criteria: Prior experience managing both engineers and analysts within the same organization. Exposure to data platforms, analytics systems, or data-intensive products.
Experience working alongside architects and technical leads in a scaled engineering organization. Experience in the financial industry, particularly working with trading, securities, or market data. What We Offer: A senior leadership role shaping the people and culture behind COMPLYs data and analytics capabilities.
The opportunity to lead and grow a multidisciplinary team with real impact on customers and the business. Close collaboration with architects, technical leaders, and senior stakeholders. A culture that values trust, clarity, and continuous improvement.
A rapidly scaling platform with significant scope to evolve the Data & Analytics organization.
