Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Credit Analyst to support a growing natural gas marketing and trading organization. The position focuses on evaluating counterparty creditworthiness, managing real‑time exposure, and supporting commercial decision‑making across short, mid and long‑term marketing strategies. The role is highly collaborative, working closely with Commercial, Legal, Accounting, Risk, and Structuring teams.

You will play a key part in maintaining the integrity of the credit portfolio, ensuring appropriate credit limits, and implementing credit risk mitigation strategies that support responsible commercial growth. Onsite | No Visa Sponsorship | No Relocation Assistance Contract Duration : 3 months | W2 Location: Local candidates only (within ~1‑hour commute) Requirements: Credit Risk & Exposure Management Analyze creditworthiness of new and existing counterparties and recommend or approve credit limits within delegated authority. Monitor daily exposure versus established limits using real‑time credit systems.

Perform financial modeling and ratio analysis to support credit limit decisions. Produce recurring and ad‑hoc credit reports used for commercial decision‑making. Collateral & Credit Support Instruments Negotiate, implement, and administer collateral instruments (e.g., letters of credit, guarantees, margining arrangements) Process issuance, amendments, and ongoing management of credit support documentation.

Trading Platform Credit Controls Proactively manage credit‑related settings on electronic trading platforms (e.g., ICE or similar) Ensure pre‑trade and account‑level credit controls are aligned with approved limits and risk policies. Contract Review & Counterparty Engagement Review and approve credit terms in counterparty contracts and amendments. Respond to internal and external inquiries related to credit exposure, limits, and contractual obligations.

Represent the organization in credit‑related discussions, working groups, or industry events as needed. Cross‑Functional Collaboration Partner with Commercial, Legal, Accounting, Risk, and Structuring teams to support business outcomes. Present credit analysis and recommendations to leadership and commercial stakeholders.

Qualifications (Must-Haves) Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business. Ability to present complex information clearly to leaders and counterparties.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Minimum 7 years of experience in a Finance/Accounting/Business environment. Minimum 10 years of oil & gas experience in a finance, credit, or commercial support role.

Strong understanding of financial statements, ratio analysis, and credit risk fundamentals. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Experience with real‑time credit/exposure systems and electronic trading platform credit controls.

Willingness to work extended hours, including weekends or holidays, as business needs arise. Preferred Skills: Hands‑on experience with ICE credit settings or comparable trading platforms. Experience negotiating collateral instruments and credit support arrangements.

Prior involvement in credit committees, limit‑setting frameworks, or exposure analytics. Experience in natural gas or NGL marketing, midstream, or commodity trading credit.
