Senior Civil Engineer - Power Plant

Position: Assistant Manager (AM) – Civil Project: 40 MW Gas Execution – Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) Location: Gabon, Central Africa (On-Site) Experience: Minimum 10+ Years Salary: Up to USD 3,500 per month Benefits: Accommodation, Food, Transportation, and Round-Trip Air Ticket once every 6 months About the Role We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager – Civil to join a 40 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) project in Gabon, Central Africa. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all civil construction activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and project schedules. Key Responsibilities Supervise and monitor all civil construction activities related to power plant projects, including foundations, structures, buildings, roads, drainage systems, and underground utilities.

Ensure execution of civil works in accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, project schedules, and quality standards. Coordinate with engineering, procurement, mechanical, electrical, and commissioning teams for smooth project execution. Review construction drawings, method statements, work procedures, and technical documents.

Manage subcontractors, site supervisors, and construction crews to achieve project milestones. Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with HSE regulations and company safety policies. Monitor project progress and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.

Verify measurements, quantities, and contractor bills as per project requirements. Identify construction challenges and implement corrective actions to minimize delays. Ensure proper resource planning, material utilization, and workforce productivity.

Participate in project meetings and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. Required Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering or related discipline. Minimum 10 years of experience in civil construction, preferably within Power Plants, CCPP, Thermal Power Plants, Industrial Plants, Oil & Gas, or EPC projects .

Strong knowledge of civil construction methodologies, quality control, and site execution. Experience in structural concrete works, foundations, steel structures, roads, and infrastructure development. Familiarity with international construction standards and HSE requirements.

Ability to manage multiple activities in a fast-paced project environment. Proficiency in MS Office and project documentation. Strong communication, leadership, and coordination skills.

Preferred Experience Previous experience in Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) projects. Experience working on international EPC or power generation projects. Exposure to site construction management and contractor coordination.
