Senior Business Analyst

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 4 days onsite)

Number of positions: 1, 12-Month initial Contract

Roles and responsibilities:

Looking to hire a skilled Business Analyst to join our client's Global Markets Technology team in Toronto. This role supports local application technology for Fixed Income and Equities trading and sales, alongside middle-office and downstream interfaces.

You will work closely with front-, middle-, and back-office teams to help design, integrate, and support a comprehensive platform handled across vendor, global, and in-house applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Business Analysis: Gather and document requirements from internal trading, operations, risk, and finance teams to support trade execution and post-trade processing.
• System Integration: Coordinate the integration of diverse vendor and global application suites to ensure alignment with organizational standards and business goals.
• Platform Support: Assist in optimizing platforms used for trade capturing, allocation, settlement, repository, and regulatory reporting in Canadian markets.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the vital bridge between business users and application development/support staff.

Must have skills/experience/qualifications

A minimum of 5-10yrs of the following

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst within Capital Markets (Fixed Income and/or Equities preferred).
• Solid understanding of trade execution, middle-office workflows, and post-trade processing (allocation, settlement, and reporting).
• Strong experience working with a mix of vendor-provided and in-house developed applications.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to navigate front-to-back-office environments.
