Senior Analyst - FP & A / Analyste principal – FP&A

Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, the
Senior Analyst - FP & A
will lead the Financial Planning & Analysis function of the finance department acting as a strategic finance partner to the organization providing insight and support to decision makers and will be responsible to prepare, analyze and interpret financial data and key performance indicators

Responsibilities

• · Leads the preparation of the Annual Profit Plan, including organization of the various planning activities, consolidation and review of data for completeness, accuracy and conformance with established organizational and strategic objectives.
• · Preparation of financial forecasts monthly for corporate departments, stores and business units.
• · Act as a financial business partner supporting the organization to interpret financial results.
• · Analysis of monthly results comparing actuals to forecast and budget and investigation of variances as well as presenting results to the senior management team. Proactively, identifying opportunities or potential risks to profit plan and forecast. Working closely with leaders to determine root cause and rendering course of action.
• · Preparation of daily store sales flash analysis dashboard.
• · Perform profitability analysis by business unit including relevant operating analysis and related metrices.
• · Prepare analysis and reporting of store profitability, including compensation, hours and salaries and other related retail store KPI’s.
• · Preparation of monthly reports of financial results versus plan and forecast by means of the monthly financial review package.
• · Supports the preparation of financial information presented to the Executive leadership team, Board of Directors and various other stakeholders including power point presentations.
• · Performs ad-hoc performance measurement analyses and reports to support senior management.
• · Performs and reviews financial accounting analyses for external reporting purposes.
• · Develops financial models, analyses and dashboards to support strategic initiatives as well as planning and monitoring of financial performance, as required.
• · Participates in a wide variety of special projects in support of senior management.
• · Identify opportunities and implement optimization & automation of current processes.

Knowledge and Skills Required

• · Bachelor of Commerce with Major in Accounting or Finance
• · Professional Accounting/Finance designation (CPA / CBV / CFA) – an Asset
• · 3-5 years relevant industry FP&A experience.
• · Retail experience is an asset.
• · Financial consulting experience is an asset.
• · Strong financial and analytical capabilities, creative thinker, demonstrates ability to provide actionable insight to decision makers
• · Ability to deliver in fast paced environment, highly driven, self-motivated
• · Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power Point skills, financial modelling experience preferred, experience with other BI tools is an asset
• · Detail oriented with high standards of precision, highly organized
• · Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple deliverables, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• · Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal – English and French)
• · Comfortable to present financial results and analysis to a variety of audiences
• · Bilingual (French and English), both written and spoken

, s’occupera de ces fonctions au sein du département des finances. Il agira à titre de partenaire stratégique en finance pour l’organisation, en fournissant des analyses et un soutien aux responsables décisionnels. Il sera responsable de la préparation, de l’analyse et de l’interprétation des données financières ainsi que des indicateurs clés de performance.

RESPONSABILITÉS PRINCIPALES

• · Diriger la préparation du plan annuel de rentabilité (budget annuel), incluant la coordination des différentes activités de planification, la consolidation et la validation des données quant à leur exhaustivité, exactitude et conformité avec les objectifs organisationnels et stratégiques.
• · Préparer les prévisions financières mensuelles pour les fonctions corporatives, les magasins et les unités d’affaires.
• · Agir à titre de partenaire d’affaires en finance, en soutenant l’organisation dans l’interprétation des résultats financiers.
• · Analyser les résultats mensuels en comparant les résultats réels aux prévisions et au budget, expliquer les écarts et présenter les résultats à la haute direction.
• · Identifier de manière proactive les opportunités et les risques potentiels affectant le plan de rentabilité et les prévisions, et collaborer étroitement avec les responsables pour en déterminer les causes et recommander des actions correctives.
• · Préparer un tableau de bord quotidien des ventes en magasin.
• · Effectuer des analyses de rentabilité par unité d’affaires, incluant les analyses opérationnelles pertinentes et les indicateurs de performance associés.
• · Produire des analyses et des rapports sur la rentabilité des magasins, incluant la rémunération, les heures travaillées, les salaires et les principaux indicateurs de performance du commerce de détail.
• · Préparer les rapports mensuels de performance financière comparant les résultats au plan et aux prévisions, notamment via le dossier mensuel de revue financière.
• · Contribuer à la préparation de l’information financière destinée à la haute direction, au comité exécutif et au conseil d’administration, incluant les présentations PowerPoint.
• · Réaliser des analyses ponctuelles de performance et produire des rapports pour soutenir la direction.
• · Effectuer et réviser des analyses comptables financières dans le cadre des rapports externes.
• · Développer des modèles financiers, analyses et tableaux de bord pour appuyer les initiatives stratégiques ainsi que la planification et le suivi de la performance financière.
• · Participer à divers projets spéciaux en appui à la haute direction.
• · Identifier des opportunités et mettre en œuvre des initiatives d’optimisation et d’automatisation des processus existants.

CONNAISSANCES ET COMPÉTENCES REQUISES

• · Baccalauréat en commerce avec une spécialisation en comptabilité ou en finance
• · Titre professionnel en comptabilité ou en finance (CPA, CBV, CFA) – un atout
• · 3 à 5 ans d’expérience pertinente en planification et analyse financières
• · Une expérience dans le secteur du commerce de détail est un atout
• · Une expérience en consultation financière est un atout
• · Bilingue (français et anglais) ; à l'oral et à l'écrit
