Senior Accountant

CooperDouglas is partnering with a real estate investment firm in Encinitas in hiring their next Senior Accountant.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and review account reconciliations, including cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Post monthly depreciation, prepayment, payroll and lease journals.
• Post and release accrued expenditures and manage reconciliation of accrual balance.
• Execute intercompany accounting between platforms and multiple related legal entities.
• Contribute to the buildout and standardization of accounting processes, policies, and workflows under new leadership.
• Operate across a complex, multi-entity structure in a fast-moving, deal-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
• 2 - 5 years of progressive accounting experience with a strong general ledger foundation.
• Public Accounting experience a plus.
• Big 4 a huge plus
• Yardi experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work across multiple entities.
• Property accounting experience is a plus but not required.
• CPA or CPA-track is a plus

Compensation Base salary: $95,000 – $125,000, + Bonus
