Job Description

Job Title: SAP FICO Business Analyst Job ID: 88037 Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba Overview: Our government client in Winnipeg, MB is looking for a SAP FICO Business Analyst resource for a 24-month contract (an initial 6-month contract with an extension option of an additional 18 months) reference 29954-RFR-DTS-059. The position is preferred to be onsite in Winnipeg, MB but remote will be considered. Responsibilities: The SAP S/4 FICO Business Analyst partners with Finance stakeholders to deliver user focused SAP solutions that drive business value.

As a subject matter expert, the role translates business needs into functional requirements, manages the FICO backlog, and works closely with agile teams to deliver improvements. Acting as a key liaison between business and IT, the analyst ensures clear communication, supports solution design, and continuously enhances processes within a public sector environment. Qualifications: BS/BA Degree or equivalent work experience.

SAP S/4 HANA experience in FICO domains & RTR product area(s), minimum 7 years. 5+ years of experience as SAP S/4 FICO Business Analyst. Has worked in an agile environment to develop user stories and requirements in collaboration across diverse Departmental businesses, backend systems, technologies, and architecture. This includes stakeholder communication management and backlog preparation.

Has technical product knowledge or specific domain expertise with SAP ECC and S/4, as well as subject matter knowledge within products and business processes related to FICO. SAP S/4HANA FICO expertise including but not limited to system configuration, functional specification writing, unit testing & UAT test script writing. Demonstrated success to influence the strategic vision while executing the tactical needs of the product (leading without a title). 3+ years direct experience in Public Sector.

Demonstrated success in maximizing product value by releasing products that meet and exceed business objectives. Excellent detailed written and verbal communication skills, possibly including some user interface documentation skills. Excellent teamwork skills especially with people less skilled in communication.

Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority. The ability to influence and work collaboratively with development teams is especially important. Experience with implementing SAP S4/HANA environment.

Understanding of key functional processes and technical aspects within SAP ECC & S/4 HANA: Controlling areas, company codes, business areas and other FICO foundational elements. Chart of accounts. Currency, tax, and banks.

General ledger accounting. Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets. Cross-company code accounting.

Consolidations. BPC. SAP CRM TPM.

SAP FSCM (claims management). Integration of FI and SD, FI and MM, FI and HR. Cost element, cost center accounting.

Profit center accounting. Internal orders. Product costing within process manufacturing industries.

Profitability Analysis (COPA). Accounting and FP&A Reports. #J-18808-Ljbffr
