Role Overview
This is a strategic outbound sales role.
You will be responsible for identifying and engaging healthcare organizations across the United States, introducing them to DirectShifts' provider operations platform, and generating qualified meetings for our sales leadership team.
You will be the first point of contact for prospective customers and play a critical role in building our sales pipeline.
This is not a high-volume transactional calling role. We are looking for consultative SDRs who can research accounts, understand healthcare organizations' operational challenges, and create meaningful conversations with executive decision-makers.
What You'll Represent
You will introduce prospective customers to DirectShifts' complete suite of provider operations solutions, including:
● Provider Recruitment
● Recruitment as a Service (RaaS)
● State Licensing
● Credentialing
● Provider Scheduling
● Telehealth Operations
● Internal Resource Pool (IRP) Programs
● Float Pool Management
● Provider Operations Outsourcing
● Enterprise Workforce Solutions
Key Responsibilities
Outbound Business Development● Research and identify hospitals, health systems, physician groups, digital health companies, behavioral health organizations, private practices, and healthcare organizations across the United States.
● Build strategic prospect lists using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, ZoomInfo, CRM platforms, and other prospecting tools.
● Generate new business opportunities through outbound calls, email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, referrals, and networking.
● Engage executive decision-makers and introduce DirectShifts' provider operations solutions.
● Qualify prospects by understanding their hiring, workforce, and operational challenges.
● Schedule qualified discovery meetings for the sales leadership team.
Pipeline Development
● Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities.
● Execute structured follow-up campaigns across multiple communication channels.
● Nurture prospects until they are ready to engage with the sales team.
● Maintain accurate prospect records and activity tracking within the CRM.
Sales Operations
● Maintain CRM accuracy and data integrity.
● Collaborate with Marketing on outbound campaigns and messaging.
● Work closely with the sales leadership team to ensure smooth handoff of qualified opportunities.
● Leverage AI tools for account research, prospecting, email personalization, and sales productivity.

Required Experience
● 1–3 years of experience in Sales Development, Business Development, Lead Generation, or B2B Sales.
● Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
● Experience with outbound prospecting and cold calling.
● Ability to engage executive-level decision-makers.
● Highly organized with strong follow-up skills.
● Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
