RN- Neurosurgery Office

Albany Medical Center seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Neurosurgery Office, leveraging innovative healthcare practices in a dynamic clinical environment. This role encompasses nursing care for neurosurgery patients, coordination of patient treatment plans, and acting as a vital liaison between patients and physicians, underpinned by our commitment to top-tier medical education and patient-focused clinical excellence. Evaluate and monitor the patient's health Administer medications and treatments Educate patients and their families on surgical processes and post-op care Collaborate with neurosurgeons and other healthcare professionals Maintain detailed patient records and charts Support patient recovery and follow-up on care plans Implement infection control measures.

Strong clinical skills in a surgical environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficient in using medical software and electronic health records (EHR) Ability to manage nursing interventions and potential complications High competence in maintaining patient safety and privacy Valid RN license BLS certification required ACLS certification preferred Neurosurgical nursing certification (CNRN) highly desirable
