Rigid Truck Driver

We're looking for a full-time Rigid Truck Driver to join our team at Jackman Furniture Freighters in Croydon South, Victoria. This is a great opportunity to be a key part of our transport operations, delivering new furniture and other goods to customers across Melbourne's metro and outer suburbs.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a rigid truck to transport furniture and freight
• Work with our warehouse team to load and unload items
• Perform manual handling of goods, including loading and unloading items on and off trucks and moving goods within warehouses
• Handle pickups and drop-offs at various locations
• Safely secure and handle furniture and freight during transport
• Follow traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies
• Provide excellent customer service to clients

What We’re Looking For

• A valid Australian Medium Rigid (MR) driver’s license or higher
• At least 2 years of experience driving rigid trucks
• Experience with, and willingness to perform, manual handling of goods
• Knowledge of safe loading, unloading, lifting, and handling practices
• Excellent driving skills and a strong safety-first mindset
• Ability to work efficiently and independently
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Physically capable of safely handling furniture and freight

Hours of Operation

• Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• Friday: 7:00 AM - 1:00 PM
• Occasional paid overtime
