Job Description Job Description Retail Operations Manager Our client is in the grocery/deli business and they have stores located in Hamilton and the West GTA. Job Summary: Responsible for leading and executing the operational strategy across all retail locations. This role drives operational excellence, profitability, and scalability while ensuring a consistent and exceptional customer experience aligned with the companyโ€™s brand and growth objectives.

Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer Job Duties: Develop and implement operational strategies that support company growth, profitability, and scalability across all retail locations. Establish and monitor key operational performance metrics including sales productivity, labour efficiency, shrink, inventory turns, and customer experience. Analyze store performance and operational data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall profitability. Lead and manage Retail Store Managers and develop high performing teams. Ensure consistent execution of operational standards, merchandising programs, and customer experience expectations across all stores.

Lead initiatives to improve operational workflows, store processes, and labour productivity. Identify and implement best practices across retail locations to enhance efficiency and operational consistency. Oversee the rollout and adoption of new operational processes, systems, and tools across the organization.

Lead operational planning and execution for strategic business initiatives including but not limited to new store openings, seasonal programs and major promotions and Support strategic planning and provide operational insight to inform business decisions. Identify emerging retail and consumer trends and lead the operational implementation of initiatives that enhance customer experience, drive sales growth, and maintain competitive positioning. Leads capital projects across all retail operations.

All other duties as assigned. Requirements: โ— Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business or related field, or equivalent experience. โ— A minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience in a senior leadership role in the grocery retail industry; specialty food experience is a strong asset. Able to travel regularly across locations, holds a valid G license with access to a reliable vehicle.

Proven track record of improving operational efficiency and driving profitability in a multi-location retail environment. Exceptional financial acumen with experience in business case development, performance tracking, and ROI analysis. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Strategic thinking and operational planning capabilities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience leading and developing multi-unit retail teams across multiple store locations.

Demonstrated ability to lead operational change initiatives and implement new processes across an organization. Strong understanding of retail market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive dynamics. Experience supporting retail growth initiatives including new store openings or major operational rollouts.

Essential Functions: โ— Ability to travel regularly to retail locations. โ— Ability to spend extended periods walking and standing. โ— Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. โ— Prolonged sitting and manual dexterity.
