Respiratory Nurse Specialist

Job Description We are seeking a Band 6 nurse to join our established community respiratory team. The role involves caring for patients with asthma, COPD, bronchiectasis and fibrosis in their homes and in clinics. Responsibilities Provide specialist clinical skills as part of a multi‑disciplinary team. Conduct specialist assessment and treatment of patients with respiratory disease within a community setting. Work independently as an experienced healthcare professional and collaborate with others to deliver care to individuals with long‑term respiratory conditions, enabling them to remain in their place of residence. Be responsible for assessment, treatment and appropriate admissions, contributing to the safe management of patients within the community. Actively participate in clinical professional development through training, peer review and evidence‑based audit and research projects, improving service delivery. Provide respiratory expertise to colleagues, patients and carers through specialist advice and education. Support clinical leadership by supervising Band 5 nurses, physiotherapists and respiratory support workers, and by contributing to service development.

Working Hours & Logistics This role works on a rota basis, covering weekends and bank holidays. A vehicle may be required for work purposes. #J-18808-Ljbffr
