About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and people-focused Senior Revenue & Receivables Lead

to join our Finance team.

Reporting to the Finance Process Excellence Manager, you will lead the Revenue & Receivables team and oversee the delivery of accurate, timely and compliant revenue, billing and receivables activities across Uniting.

This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring high-quality financial outcomes, strong internal controls and continuous improvement across revenue and receivables processes.

You’ll also be a key subject matter expert for systems and processes, supporting both business-as-usual operations and major projects across the organisation.

What you’ll be responsible for

• Lead, support and develop the Revenue & Receivables team, creating a positive, inclusive and high-performing culture.
• Oversee accurate accounting for Accounts Receivable transactions, client billing and government claims.
• Ensure monthly accounting, reconciliation journals and month-end activities are completed accurately and on time.
• Complete and Review balance Sheet and P&L reconciliations and ensure appropriate internal controls are maintained.
• Provide accurate and timely information for regulatory and prudential reporting requirements.
• Act as the Revenue & Receivables subject matter expert across systems, processes and projects.
• Manage business-as-usual system issues and work closely with IT on system developments and improvements.
• Identify and drive opportunities to improve processes, systems and team efficiency.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, government departments, clients, service streams and support functions.
• Contribute to financial planning, performance, compliance and broader Finance initiatives.
• Support a strong WH&S culture and ensure team members have the resources, training and capability to work safely and effectively.

About You

You’re an experienced finance leader who enjoys working in a complex, high-volume environment and knows how to bring people, processes and systems together to deliver strong outcomes.

You’ll bring:

• CA or CPA qualification preferred, with a relevant Bachelor qualification or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years’ experience managing teams, ideally within a complex, high-volume and continually evolving environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, legislation and regulations.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated experience leading teams and developing high-performing people.
• Strong communication, negotiation, stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with ERP systems, finance and billing systems and advanced Excel/analytical tools.
• Experience in consumer-focused shared service environments involving high transaction volumes and complexity.

Hands on experience in Residential clients billing and subsidy reconciliation will be added benefit

• Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process and system improvements.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
• The ability to work confidently with sensitive and confidential information.
• A collaborative approach and the confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels.

It would be great if you also have:

• Strong knowledge of Aged Care funding and reporting requirements.
• Experience working within a highly regulated environment.
• Experience with prudential and other regulatory reporting requirements.
