Right now we are looking for a Registered Practical Nurse to work with our Nursing Resource Team. Employment Status: Permanent Full-time Reporting Relationship: Manager, Nursing Resource Team Hourly Rate: $38.893 - $39.458 Union Group: NOWU Hours of work: Rotating shifts, 8 or 12 hours, days/evenings/nights/weekends Location: Humber River Health – Wilson Site Position Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for Registered Practical Nurse duties in all Medical and Surgical Inpatient Units. It is the expectation that members of the Nursing Resources Team are available for all rotating shifts.

Qualifications Graduate from a recognized Registered Practical Nursing two year diploma program. Current RPN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario. Current BCLS certification or demonstrated competency.

Minimum 1 year acute medical/surgical experience, preferred. Minimum 2 years experience working with the Nurse Resource Team is an asset. Excellent organizational skills with an ability to set priorities.

Experience with patient health teaching. Excellent Health Assessment skills required Demonstrate adherence to the hospital’s code of conduct. Demonstrate competency in a variety of skills including (but not limited to), intramuscular injections, intravenous therapy initiation and discontinuation, Blood Transfusion, Wound Care Dressing, Medication Administration, etc.

Basic computer skills and Meditech experience is an asset. Knowledge of community resources Excellent attendance and discipline free record required. An understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion principles as they relate to health practices is an asset.
