Location: Coolum, QLD â Coolum Beach
Job Type: Permanent â Part Time (Night Shifts)
Set workdays: Sunday, Monday, Wednesday nights; additional hours available.
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Coolum agedâcare facility (50 beds) as a permanent partâtime night shift nurse. The role involves providing clinical oversight, ensuring safe medication management, and responding promptly to resident needs throughout the night, maintaining continuity of care, resident safety, and compliance with agedâcare standards.
What Youâll Do
- Provide personâcentred, evidenceâbased nursing care reflecting Sundaleâs value of Care.
- Deliver safe, highâquality clinical care using nursing skills, knowledge, and bestâpractice standards.
- Provide clinical leadership and support to Enrolled Nurses and Carers during the night shift.
- Monitor residentsâ physical, cognitive, and emotional wellbeing, actively identifying and responding to any deterioration.
- Support safe medication management and clinical decisionâmaking overnight.
- Coordinate clinical workloads to ensure safe, effective, and timely delivery of care.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including requirements that support the ANâACC funding model.
- Ensure compliance with legislation, clinical standards, agedâcare requirements, and Sundale policies.
- Work collaboratively with the broader multidisciplinary team to support holistic, personâcentred care.
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and residentâfocused environment.
What We Are Looking For
- Current experience as a Registered Nurse, ideally within aged care.
- Confidence working night shift and responding to resident care needs overnight.
- Strong clinical assessment, decisionâmaking and escalation skills.
- Sound knowledge of medication management, clinical documentation, and resident care planning.
- Working knowledge of ANâACC and Aged Care Quality Standards, or willingness to further develop this knowledge.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with effective written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work semiâautonomously while maintaining strong clinical judgement and accountability.
- Resilience, professionalism, and a positive outlook.
- A genuine passion for agedâcare services and residentâfocused care.
- Flexibility to pick up additional shifts when available.
Required Qualifications or Certificates
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Current CPR certificate.
- National Police Check.
- Preâemployment medical assessment.
- Experience in delivering highâquality clinical care in an agedâcare environment will be highly regarded.
