Job Description

Registered Nurse / Enrolled Nurse | Community, Aged Care & Complex Disability

Lionheart Inclusion, Training & Support Services โ€“ Gladstone QLD

Registered Nurse & Enrolled Nurse | Community Nursing | Flexible Hours

Immediate start | Gladstone | Full-time, part-time or casual

Looking for nursing work with variety, flexibility and the chance to build genuine relationships with the people you care for?

Lionheart Inclusion, Training & Support Services is recruiting both a Registered Nurse and an Enrolled Nurse to join our established Clinical Team in Gladstone.

Our nursing roles offer broad clinical experience across community nursing and complex disability support, with predominantly Monday to Friday daytime work, flexible employment options and the support of highly experienced senior nurses.

Whether you are an experienced nurse looking for a change from hospital-based work, an EN wanting broader clinical exposure, or a newer nurse looking for somewhere you will be well supported while you grow, we would love to hear from you.

Why join Lionheart?

Broad clinical experience without being thrown in the deep end

No two days look exactly the same.

Depending on your qualification, scope of practice and experience, your week may include:

  • Community nursing visits and clinical assessments
  • Care plan development and reviews
  • Medication management, wound care and diabetes support
  • Enteral feeding, tracheostomy care and other complex clinical supports
  • Assisting with the admission of clients with complex health needs
  • Reviewing clinical incidents and medication errors
  • Training and supporting Disability Support Workers
  • Providing clinical guidance within our Supported Independent Living homes

You will have opportunities to build relationships with clients over time while continuing to develop a broad range of clinical skills.

Experienced nurses around you

You will not be expected to walk in knowing everything. Our Clinical Team is led by highly experienced senior nurses with decades of combined nursing and leadership experience across hospital and community settings.

New team members receive comprehensive orientation, work alongside experienced nurses and are supported through:

  • One-on-one guidance and shadowing
  • Formal clinical supervision
  • Ongoing competency development and training
  • Regular Clinical Team communication
  • Senior clinical support for escalation of complex matters

Once appropriately trained and competent in the role, nurses also participate in Lionheart's rotating Clinical On-Call roster, which operates in one-week rotations.

Predominantly weekday work with genuine flexibility

Most of our nursing work is completed Monday to Friday during daytime hours.

We are recruiting across:

  • Permanent full-time
  • Permanent part-time
  • Casual employment

We can be flexible around days and hours for the right applicants.

This may suit someone looking to step away from traditional shift-based hospital nursing, balance work with study or family commitments, or combine community nursing with another role.

New to disability nursing? That's okay.

Previous disability or community nursing experience is valued, but it is not essential.

We are happy to consider nurses who bring the right clinical foundation, attitude and values and are willing to learn.

New graduates are also encouraged to apply, particularly where they have had some exposure to disability through placement, employment or lived experience.
