Are you a compassionate and dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) looking for a rewarding role supporting young adults and children with mental health needs in the community? We are a leading care provider seeking a skilled RMN to deliver high-quality, person‑centred clinical care to individuals with complex mental health conditions and challenging behaviours. This role is ideal for a nurse who is empathetic, resilient, and passionate about helping individuals improve their wellbeing while supporting them to live safely and independently in the community.
Responsibilities Deliver high-quality mental health nursing care in line with best practice and clinical guidelines. Conduct clinical assessments, risk assessments, and care planning for individuals with mental health needs. Support and monitor medication management and clinical interventions where required.
Apply de‑escalation and therapeutic communication techniques to manage challenging behaviours safely. Maintain accurate digital clinical records, care plans, and incident reports. Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and multi-disciplinary teams (MDTs) to ensure positive outcomes for service users.
Promote recovery, independence, and emotional wellbeing through person‑centred care approaches. Qualifications Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification. Active NMC registration.
Minimum 12 months’ experience supporting young adults and children with mental health needs. Experience working with challenging behaviours and safeguarding vulnerable individuals. Confidence using digital care systems and clinical documentation.
Excellent communication skills with a calm, compassionate approach. Current PMVA certificate. Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
Right to work in the UK. Desirable: Experience in community‑based mental health services. Desirable: Additional training in trauma‑informed care or behavioural support and confidence in using digital care planning systems.
Desirable: NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Adults or Children). Desirable: Current First Aid training. Benefits A competitive salary.
