Job Description This Opportunity WSP is looking for a Quality Manager to join our Transportation and Infrastructure team in Houston, TX . Your Impact Develop Project Specific Quality Management Plan (PSQMP) and oversee overall compliance as identified in the Project Management Plan and the Contracts. Ensure project quality plans are prepared and approved and are being implemented in all aspects of the project delivery from design (on design-build projects) through construction and deployment.
Maintain adequate records/documentation throughout. Assist in the development of the new quality control processes where needed, in collaboration with the project team. Oversee and audit ongoing contracts to measure overall contract health through predetermined contract metrics.
Conduct regular quality compliance audits to assure the team's compliance with the implementation and efficacy of the Quality Management Plan and to verify that quality activities align with the quality plan and all contractual obligations. Prepare project status reports to monitor and document ongoing progress and record how adequate progress is being made within the assigned Task durations. Other duties as assigned.
Who You Are Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent. Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the State of Texas. 15 years of experience in management positions in a design production environment performing QA/QC auditing. Ability to develop and oversee Design Quality Management Plans.
Demonstrated Quality Assurance experience on transportation related projects. Knowledge of ISO 9000 quality standards and its application to planning, design, and construction. Demonstrated experience in a QA/QC role in a fast‑paced engineering environment.
