Position: Project Manager Location: Winnipeg, Shared Health – AD3 720 McDermot Ave Shift: Days Work Arrangement: Hybrid Hours: 7.75 hours per day Position Overview Under the direction of the Executive Leader/Director or designate, the Project Manager applies established project‑management principles, tools, and templates throughout the project life cycle—including the initiation, planning, execution, controlling, and closing phases. Provides leadership to ensure that the overall completion of project deliverables is achieved, including management of project scope, resources, communications, risks/issues, budget, timelines, procurement, integration, quality and implementation. The Project Manager promotes and maintains a positive, professional, and team‑oriented environment demonstrating a commitment to the vision, values, goals, and objectives of Shared Health.

Projects will span a variety of areas, often with provincial scope and focus. Shared Health Background Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient‑centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province‑wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Qualifications Experience Three to five years’ experience in planning and implementing projects. Experience in program development, introduction of new systems and change management strategies. Previous experience in a healthcare environment.

Previous experience implementing large‑scale projects across a variety of stakeholders. Proven track record of producing results within time and budget constraints. Education Post‑secondary degree in a relevant discipline such as health, business or public administration, engineering, from an accredited educational institution.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Postgraduate education is an asset. Previous training in project management.

Certification Project Management Professional certification an asset. Skills & Competencies Demonstrated proficiency with the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio). Demonstrated knowledge of project‑management principles, practices and techniques.

Knowledge of regional policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines. Knowledge of the Personal Health Information Act, WHMIS, Principles of Routine Practices (Universal Precautions) and other legislated acts. Demonstrated management principles.

Understanding and knowledge of roles and responsibilities of project team members and change management strategies. Experience leading project teams including planning, managing, and implementing change. Ability to work independently and as a team member.

Ability to prioritize workload, respond to simultaneous demands and delegate appropriately. Influences others to achieve desired outcomes. Problem solves, organizes results, and monitors project progress.

Demonstrates effective communication and presentation skills. Demonstrates critical thinking, conflict resolution and decision‑making skills. Recognizes and pursues self‑development opportunities.

Physical Requirements May be required to work extended hours. Periodic travel throughout Manitoba may be required. Must have valid driver’s license and access to reliable vehicle.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
