Job Title - Senior IT Project Manager Location - Edmonton, AB, Canada – (Onsite) Employment Type - Contract Duration: 24 Months (Extension possible up to 12 months) About the Role We are seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to support multiple digital transformation and system enhancement initiatives within a government environment. This role will be responsible for end-to-end project coordination, governance, stakeholder engagement, and delivery oversight, ensuring successful execution of initiatives related to case management systems, digital platforms, and modernization efforts. Key Responsibilities Project Delivery & Coordination • Plan, coordinate, and monitor system enhancements, releases, and project activities across multiple workstreams • Maintain project artifacts including RFC logs, requirements, test documentation, and decision records • Lead and support testing cycles (UAT, defect tracking, validation, deployment readiness) • Provide functional support for case management systems, including issue triage and escalation • Ensure alignment of deliverables with government standards and digital service objectives Data, Reporting & Analytics • Conduct data validation, quality assurance, and integrity checks • Gather business requirements and develop reports, dashboards, and performance metrics • Analyze trends, identify risks, and provide data-driven insights and recommendations • Ensure accurate reporting aligned with governance and operational expectations Stakeholder Management & Communication • Facilitate meetings, prepare agendas, and track decisions and action items • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams • Communicate project updates, risks, and impacts to leadership and governance bodies • Support change management and communication strategies Digital Platform & Website Support • Manage updates and enhancements for websites, portals, and digital services • Coordinate UAT, deployment readiness, and stakeholder approvals • Prepare and manage Requests for Change (RFC) and Requests for Service (RFS) • Troubleshoot issues and coordinate resolution with technical teams Operational & Administrative Support • Provide support to executive leadership and program directors • Assist with planning, reporting, and cross-team coordination • Ensure alignment between business needs and system functionality • Support modernization initiatives and continuous improvement efforts Mandatory Skills & Qualifications • 8+ years of experience in IT Project Management and delivery • Strong experience with project governance, reporting, and executive communication • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and multiple concurrent projects • Experience working with Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, or Kanban methodologies • Strong expertise in stakeholder engagement and change management • Experience in developing project artifacts, business cases, and roadmaps • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills • Active PMP Certification (mandatory) • Experience in public sector or government environments • Familiarity with case management systems and digital platforms • Experience in data integration, reporting, and analytics • Exposure to complex IT systems, legacy modernization, and system integration • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) mandatory • Experience in change management for large-scale IT initiatives Additional Requirements • Must be residing in Alberta for the duration of the contract • This is a primarily onsite role with limited remote flexibility • Must be eligible for criminal background check clearance • Submission must include resume, project details (MMM/YYYY format), and 3 references Why Join Us • Opportunity to lead high-impact government modernization programs • Work in a collaborative, stakeholder-driven environment • Exposure to enterprise-scale systems and digital transformation initiatives • Long-term engagement with potential extension About NetworkPedia NetworkPedia is a certified women-owned technology and talent solutions company, providing IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, managed services, and specialized recruitment across North Americas and beyond.
