Project Engineer – Ballydine

Working Pattern: 100% site-based, Monday to Friday

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience supporting engineering, construction, facilities, or capital projects.
  • Strong organisational and project coordination skills.
  • Understanding of contractor management and health & safety processes.
  • Experience managing project documentation and financial administration.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of multiple projects across the site.
  • Monitor project schedules, actions, and deliverables to ensure successful execution.
  • Prepare project documentation, reports, presentations, and status updates.
  • Assist with project reviews, scope development, tender preparation, and contractor evaluations.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, quantity surveyors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Support project close‑out activities, including documentation and compliance reviews.
  • Raise requisitions and purchase orders.
  • Support project budgeting, cost tracking, invoicing, and financial reporting.
  • Maintain and update project financial trackers.
  • Assist with the commercial review of contractor proposals and tender submissions.
  • Promote a strong safety culture across all projects.
  • Ensure compliance with site, client, and company health and safety policies.
  • Conduct safety audits, permit reviews, and contractor safety inspections.
  • Manage QHSE reporting, including hazards, audits, permits, and contractor performance reviews.
  • Support contractor management processes in line with site procedures.
  • Coordinate contractor activities and site access requirements.
  • Support permit‑to‑work processes and contractor safety compliance.
  • Participate in project meetings, site walkdowns, and contractor reviews.
  • Act as a key liaison between project teams, contractors, and operational stakeholders.
  • Resolve coordination issues and elevate risks where required.
  • Maintain project records and ensure documentation is accurate and up‑to‑date.
  • Support change control processes, equipment certification requirements, and project handover activities.
  • Review contractor documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, permits, and test packs.
  • Ensure contractor pre‑qualification and compliance requirements are completed before mobilisation.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to drive effective project delivery and best practices.
  • Support training coordination and maintain project training matrices.
  • Contribute to team meetings, business updates, and improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with mobilisation activities and new project opportunities as required.

Qualifications

  • Leaving Cert education or above
  • Recognised technical qualification in Construction, Mechanical or Electrical or similar (desirable)
  • Qualification in Project Management (desirable)
  • First Aid training (desirable)
  • IOSH Managing Safely in Construction (desirable but not required)
  • Project Supervisor Construction Stage (desirable but not required)
  • Project Supervisor Design Stage (desirable but not required)
