About the Role

Join a nationally significant energy infrastructure project and play a key role in the delivery of the Transgrid Synchronous Condenser project in regional NSW. We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer – Electrical to support the design, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning activities across this critical power infrastructure project.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will provide engineering and project coordination support to ensure safe, efficient and compliant project delivery. You will work closely with construction teams, designers, subcontractors, suppliers and client stakeholders to drive technical outcomes and maintain project performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate engineering activities to support the design, installation, testing and commissioning of electrical project works.
  • Provide technical guidance to subcontractors and suppliers while resolving engineering issues across the project lifecycle.
  • Support project planning, procurement, quality documentation, ITPs and project-specific procedures.
  • Monitor project progress and collaborate with project delivery teams to achieve schedule and cost objectives.
  • Identify and manage project risks while maintaining compliance with safety, quality and project management systems.

About You

  • Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in project engineering or related engineering disciplines.
  • Experience across design, construction and commissioning environments on major infrastructure, utilities, energy or industrial projects.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication and problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Knowledge of quality systems and project documentation requirements.
  • Current Australian driver’s licence and Construction White Card.
  • Ability to travel and work across project and remote site locations as required.
