Job duties: We are seeking an experienced Senior Automation Engineer to lead our automation strategy and drive quality engineering initiatives across applications and data pipelines. This onsite role requires deep technical expertise in Playwright, UI test automation, SQL, and ETL testing, along with hands-on experience building scalable test solutions in cloud environments. Candidate will serve as a technical mentor, collaborate closely with engineering leadership, and help shape the quality roadmap for the organization.

Key Responsibilities Architect, develop, and optimize robust automation frameworks using Playwright. Lead the design and implementation of scalable UI automation strategies across projects. Drive ETL testing initiatives including validation of data mapping, transformation rules, and end‑to‑end data pipeline integrity.

Write advanced SQL queries to validate large datasets and perform backend verifications. Lead automation integration within CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP). Collaborate with cross‑functional teams onsite to define testing standards, processes, and best practices.

Review automation code, perform technical assessments, and provide guidance to junior and mid-level engineers. Analyse failures, identify root causes, and implement long-term stability improvements. Participate in roadmap planning, design discussions, and architectural decisions with engineering teams.

Champion continuous improvement in automation coverage, performance, and tool adoption. Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of hands‑on automation experience with strong expertise in Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript). Proven experience architecting and scaling UI automation frameworks.

Strong background in ETL testing, data validation, and end-to-end pipeline testing. Advanced proficiency in SQL (joins, aggregations, stored procedure validation, data profiling). Solid experience working with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).

Strong understanding of CI/CD practices and automation integration in pipelines. Ability to lead initiatives, perform code reviews, and mentor team members. Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.

Strong communication and collaboration skills suitable for an onsite environment.
