Job Description

An excellent opportunity for a Process Engineer to join a highly technical, regulated manufacturing environment in Tralee. This role suits a hands-on engineer with strong problem-solving skills and a focus on process performance, reliability and continuous improvement.

This position is 100% onsite in Tralee.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support DCS/control systems, ensuring performance, compliance and data integrity.
  • Troubleshoot process, equipment and control-system issues and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Manage CAPAs and support investigations into recurring technical issues.
  • Identify and deliver process optimisation, cost, waste and energy-reduction initiatives.
  • Lead or support Lean Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement activities.
  • Monitor and report engineering and manufacturing performance metrics.
  • Support technology transfer, commissioning and implementation of new equipment, processes and control systems.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality and other technical teams.
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP, ISO, Health & Safety and environmental requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, ideally Chemical or Biochemical Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Process engineering experience within a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment and troubleshooting.
  • Technical experience in areas such as filtration, purification, control systems, validation and instrumentation.
  • Ability to independently progress engineering projects and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or equivalent continuous improvement experience.
