About the Role On behalf of our client a community-focused organization dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities and mental health challenges - we are seeking a compassionate Youth Worker. The role centers on person-centered support, fostering independence, and connecting young people to community, education, and employment pathways.
Key Duties and Responsibilities Strategic & Operational Management • Provide overall direction for the organization’s health and community support services, aligning with mission and funding requirements. • Develop, implement, and monitor policies, procedures, and clinical standards for medical, nursing, allied health, and administrative teams.
Program & Resource Coordination • Coordinate and administer health, welfare, and disability programs, including individual support plans and community outreach initiatives. • Monitor and evaluate resource allocation across housing, employment, training, and recreational services to maximize client outcomes.
Administrative & Financial Control • Oversee budget planning, financial reporting, and expenditure on supplies, equipment, and contracted services. • Prepare board-level reports and compliance documentation for government and funding bodies.
Stakeholder & Government Liaison • Build partnerships with other health and welfare providers, funding bodies, and boards to enhance service coordination and cooperation. • Advise government agencies on measures to improve community health and welfare facilities and programs.
Representation & Advocacy • Represent the organization in negotiations, public hearings, conventions, and forums to advocate for client needs and sector improvements.
Staff Leadership • Manage selection, training, performance, and supervision of multidisciplinary staff to maintain a skilled, motivated workforce.
Requirements • Proven experience in managing community health or disability services. • Minimum 1 to 2 years of full-time relevant experience • Strong financial, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills. • Knowledge of person-centered care and relevant compliance frameworks. • Excellent leadership and communication abilities. • Relevant qualification to above field.
