Construction Planner

About you

  • Previous experience as a Construction Planner within the construction industry

  • Proficiency in planning software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6 or Asta Powerproject

  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies and project sequencing

  • Excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively while working under pressure

  • Relevant industry experience or formal qualifications (HNC/HND or Degree) in Construction Management or a related discipline are desirable

What you'll do

  • Develop and maintain detailed construction programmes from pre-construction through to completion

  • Monitor project progress and update programmes to reflect real-time performance

  • Identify risks, delays and critical activities, providing appropriate mitigation solutions

  • Collaborate with project managers, site teams, subcontractors and clients to coordinate schedules

  • Produce progress reports and planning updates for internal and client meetings

  • Support tender programmes, resource allocation and project sequencing

  • Assist with planning labour, plant, materials and subcontractor activities to optimise project delivery

  • Ensure programmes meet contractual requirements and key project milestones

  • Drive continuous improvement across planning processes and project controls
