Physical Therapist

Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals. In this role, you will be crucial in helping patients recover and improve their physical abilities in a setting that values evidence-based techniques and patient-centered care. Our Physical Therapists play a vital role in our inpatient rehabilitation hospitals and may also provide care through our expansive network of home health agencies.

This position requires expertise in designing and administering therapy treatments, a compassionate approach, and a commitment to ongoing professional development. Assess patient conditions by conducting physical examinations and evaluating medical histories. Formulate treatment plans to address the needs of patients, including pain management and physical impairments.

Implement therapeutic interventions, monitor patient progress, and adjust treatments as necessary. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide cohesive patient care. Educate patients and family members about treatment plans and ongoing home exercises.

Maintain patient records, ensuring timely documentation of therapy sessions. Participate in continuing education activities to enhance expertise and maintain state licensure. Strong understanding of biomechanics, therapeutic practices, and rehabilitation equipment.

Excellent interpersonal and communicative skills, both verbal and written. Ability to tailor clinical treatments to individual patient needs effectively. Proficiency with electronic medical record systems.
