Johns Hopkins Medicine is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Tech I to join our dynamic team. This entry-level position is crucial in supporting our healthcare professionals while providing direct patient care. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work across multiple departments, assisting in patient treatments and contributing to our mission of setting the standard in education, research, and clinical care. Assist nursing staff with patient care activities and treatments. Monitor vital signs and report abnormal findings to the nursing staff.
Perform basic patient care needs, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and transporting patients. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of patient areas. Document patient care activities accurately in the electronic health record.
Participate in departmental meetings to improve processes and patient care. Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to perform under stress and respond effectively to emergencies Proficiency in using healthcare technology and electronic health records Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred. CPR/BLS certification by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
