Job Description
Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a Paralegal to work at a facility in New York, NY.
Pay Rate: $20 / hour
Shift details:
37.5 hrs per week
Duties: Check filings for deficiencies, calculating filing fees as needed, scanning paper submissions, issuing ID numbers to filings, updating database, saving files to shared drive following file-naming convention, copying files from emails in Outlook and saving the shared drive as required, renaming PDF files per file‑naming convention as required, entering filings and updating SharePoint site accurately so they can be searched for on demand, saving files to folders, adding notes to database and SharePoint site as needed. For deficient filings, email the submitting attorney using a template. Follow up on deficiencies as needed.
Key Skills & Abilities: Must have good time management skills; be detail‑oriented, organized, able to catch errors/inconsistent/ incomplete work, proofread work; able to manage a large volume of email and electronic files without commingling files; must be able to work quickly and accurately; able to follow office policy and procedure; able to OCR, rename, and bookmark PDF files; drag and drop files in folders; copy and paste files into folders, create folders, edit template emails, double‑check work; ask questions when clarification is needed; must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Adobe PDF, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft SharePoint, and Microsoft Outlook.
